1. Who we are
hotelslumiere.com ("Lumière Hotels") is operated by Lumiere Group LLC, the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us at support@hotelslumiere.com.
2. What we collect
- Booking details — when you make a booking: your first and last name, email address, phone number, country/region, any special requests, together with the stay details (hotel, room, dates, guests, rooms) and your booking reference.
- Contact messages — if you use our contact form: your name, email, optional booking reference, chosen topic and message.
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe (see section 4). We do not collect or store your card number.
- Technical & usage data — limited standard information such as your browser type and the pages you visit, which our hosting provider processes to serve and secure the site.
3. How we use it
- To process and confirm your booking and arrange your reservation with the hotel.
- To provide customer service and respond to your enquiries.
- To send you booking-related communications (such as your confirmation).
- To operate, secure and improve the website, and to prevent fraud.
- To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations.
We rely on the lawful bases of performing our contract with you (to fulfil your booking), our legitimate interests (to run and secure the service), your consent (where you send us a message), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Payment data
All card payments are processed by Stripe on its own secure, PCI-DSS-compliant systems. Your card details are entered directly on Stripe's hosted checkout and are never transmitted to, seen by, or stored on this website. Stripe processes your payment data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
5. Cookies & local storage
We keep this simple. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. To make booking work, we store your in-progress booking in your browser's local storage on your own device; you can clear it at any time through your browser. Some third-party services we rely on (Stripe, and web fonts) may set their own strictly-necessary cookies or process limited technical data when their content loads.
6. Who we share with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the parties needed to deliver the service:
- The hotel you book — to arrange and honour your reservation.
- Netlify — our hosting provider, which serves the website and stores contact and booking form submissions on our behalf (privacy).
- Stripe — to process payments (privacy).
- Google Fonts and Unsplash — which deliver fonts and some imagery when a page loads.
- Authorities or advisors — where we are legally required to, or to protect our rights.
7. How long we keep it
We keep booking and enquiry data only for as long as needed to provide the service, support you, and meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your data sooner (see section 9), subject to any records we must retain by law.
8. International transfers
Some of our providers (such as Netlify and Stripe) operate internationally, so your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including the United States. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) are relied upon to protect your data.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EU/UK, these rights are provided under the GDPR. To exercise any of them, email support@hotelslumiere.com and we will respond within the timeframe required by law. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data — including serving the whole site over encrypted HTTPS and keeping card handling entirely within Stripe. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top shows the latest revision; material changes will be reflected here.
12. Contact us
